c family ~ round 1

I finished my 2021 season with a bang— a beautiful maternity session with a glowing mama-to-be and gorgeous light. We were at one of my favorite locations and we pretty much saw no one the entire time. We had the place to ourselves! It was a last minute switch since my other spot would have been muddier due to the rain the day before. Well, I found out that the dad-to-be is actually in school for landscape design, so he was like a kid at Christmas in the gardens. Between that and the fact that they are just so excited to meet their little baby boy, this session was overflowing with joy.

As they were touching mom’s belly for the photos, the little man kept kicking them— leading to the absolute sweetest smiles and glances between mom and dad. This made it very challenging for me to narrow down their gallery. There were so many great photos!

This mom was on top of things and booked her maternity and newborn session months ago. So, when I reached out to her a few weeks ago to finalize the plans for the maternity session, she told me that now they can officially say, “Next month, we are having a baby.” How cute is that?! I know I always say this, but I love all of the excitement before having a baby— especially when it is a couple’s first baby. I know from experience that after that, you wish you had more time to be excited, but you are usually pretty distracted by the other kid(s). I can’t wait to see this family again in a few weeks with their new baby!
