bp family ~ greenhouse family session

I went to high school with one of these mamas and we even have the SAME birthday. She has been living in Florida for awhile now (and works at Disney World!) and started a family down there. She reached out to me in early January and asked what my availability was like because she and her family would be up in NJ visiting and she really wanted updated photos. A few years ago, she had a similar request and it was so amazing meeting her wife and daughter and hearing how well everyone was doing. I was so excited that she reached out during a slower month for me session-wise and I was able to accommodate.

Since the session was in the middle of winter and the weather forecast was questionable, we decided to meet up at a greenhouse. Given my recent obsession with plants, I was in my happy place. And it was a rainy day outside, so being in a greenhouse could not have been more perfect. It was a bit of a drive for the family, so the little girl had been napping. If you are a parent, you know this can be a blessing and a curse— yes they are more rested and also, yes, sometimes they will be very cranky upon first awakening! To get her in the mood for photos, we played a few games (including trying to run away from mama and mommy), which she loved. She also loved looking at and smelling the different flowers and plants. At the end of the session, she picked out a plant to give her grandmother (awww!).

These three were so sweet (and funny) together and this little girl is so lucky to be growing up with twice the mom-love. I am always so honored when they choose a session with me during their limited NJ visiting time 🙂
