I’m not sure why it has taken me so long to write this blog post! I ended my 2020 photography season on such a high note— with this beautiful baby girl and her incredibly loving family. When I arrived to the session and met the baby and her older brother (who just turned 10!), I could see right away just how much he loves her. He was always happy to hold her and the second that he would, he began kissing her head. The mom told me that the baby instantly calms in her brother’s arms, which is one of the sweetest things I have ever heard!
The mom wanted me to do the wrapped photos of the baby in front of the fireplace, which ended up producing, what I think, were some very cool and unique photos. Not to mention, it was nice and toasty, which helped this little nugget stay asleep as I changed her wraps and switched out my props. For those of you who don’t know me, I am a huge fireplace fan. My husband and I put in fireplaces (well, not ourselves) in two different houses because that was such a must-have in a house for us. Aaaaand we have fires almost every night all winter long. So this session spoke to my soul! The baby was perfect for the entire session and even tolerated coordinating family outfits, hehe.
It has been a crazy year to start my business, especially since I started booking sessions right before covid hit and then had to cancel them all. I am so grateful to all of my clients who trusted me once I was able to start shooting again. I know that it must have nerve-wracking letting a stranger into your “bubble” during these scary times. I look forward to 2021 and will hopefully see many of you again!
