a family ~ sweet and cozy newborn session

A cute little baby in a house of windows is basically a natural light photographer’s dream. When this mom and dad set up their newborn session, I asked them to send me a few photos of potential spots in their house to set up. As I saw all of the natural light that this house had to offer, I was even more excited! Then, at the end of their session, since it was warming up outside, we finished with some outdoor photos. And they ALSO had a magical corner of their backyard with cool twisty trees, great shade and privacy. How lucky am I?!

This sweet little boy was 11 days new for his first big professional photography session and he was oh so sleepy. He did prefer to be wrapped up, so once I stopped making him cooperate sans wrap, he was very happy. I think he also just loved being in his mom and dad’s arms <3 Even when we went outside, he stayed asleep! Having the opportunity to spend time with brand new babies and their overjoyed parents is one of my absolute favorite parts of this job and I am so grateful to this family for choosing me to capture these precious moments.
