It’s that time of year! Well not quite, but for those looking for a holiday mini session, YES. This year, I wanted to mix it up, so my holiday mini sessions will be an experience versus just a quick photo session. I feel like with everything going on in the world and everyone being in some level of quarantine for the past 6 months, we can all use a little fun and a little holiday cheer. Don’t we deserve AT LEAST THAT?! Let’s make some epic Christmas card photos and memories.
This is why I am partnering with Samantha (Sam) from Art Across Borders to give you a mini session like no other! If you so choose, you can also participate in our “add-on” art experience after you take your photos (see how smart we are?!). Sam will help your family create a 16×20 piece of art and then will take a polaroid of your family with your creation. Your last name will be applied with removable vinyl which will be removed after you add color, drawings and/or patterns all over the canvas. This is a special opportunity for your family to not only create a piece of art together, but a happy memory as we go into the holiday season.
So here are the (maybe not-so) quick facts:
Date: November 7, 2020 with a rain date of November 8. You must be available BOTH days during your time slot.
Time: 8:00-3:30/ 15 minute long sessions. Pay attention to your time and make sure you arrive early so that you are ready to jump in there at your start time. These sessions are going to move FAST. If your child is the type who takes awhile to warm up to a photographer/new faces, you may want to consider booking a full session with me 🙂 Send me a message and we can set that up! There will be 10 minutes between each session to allow for more social distancing/sanitizing but we will be sticking to the schedule.
What I Get: You mean, besides an amazing holiday experience, lots of fun and laughs? You will get 10 fully edited images from your session with the option to purchase your entire gallery or even just a few additional photos. You will be given a password protected gallery and the opportunity to choose your ten favorites. (I do not give RAW/unedited photos) You will also get my Style Guide before the session to help you prepare your family’s outfits and maybe even a special treat to take home with you after your session!
Location: Roxbury, NJ. Exact location will be given prior to the session.
Cost: $200 for mini session/ $30 for family art experience
A non-refundable deposit of $50 will be required at booking to secure your spot. The remainder can be paid up to the day of the session. The $30 art experience must also be paid at booking. If you are doing both, your deposit amount will be $80 and you will owe a remainder of $150 by the session date.
Covid Precautions: Our #1 goal is for you to feel safe and have fun. We will be wearing masks during the session. You can wear a mask if you feel comfortable until you take your photos, but there is a lot of space at our location to ensure 6 feet social distancing. The setup will be sprayed between sessions and certain items may be changed out as need be. If you feel more comfortable bringing your own blanket/pillows, that is TOTALLY fine. We can do a speedy swap out before your session. There will be a sanitation station and you should use hand sanitizer upon arrival and before you leave. If you or anyone in your family is ill the day of the session, please contact me and do not come to the session. You can apply your deposit elsewhere, as listed below. Will I get my photos in time to send out Christmas cards?
Of course! I will get everyone their proofing gallery in less than 2 weeks. As soon as you have chosen your images, I will get you the final gallery on a first come first served basis. So the quicker you make your decisions, the quicker I can get you your final photos. My goal is to get them to you asap. The longest amount of time it would take is 2 weeks from the time you make the decision on your favorite images.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, your furry friends are welcome as long as they are friendly and well behaved 🙂
What if the weather is bad on Saturday, November 7?
We will just move the exact schedule over to Sunday, November 8. This is why you need to make sure that you are free on Saturday AND Sunday for whichever time slot you choose.
What if we are not allowed to have the sessions because of COVID?
I am really hoping this will not happen, but if it does, your $50 mini session deposit can either be applied towards a front porch session that we will schedule together or towards a 2021 session. Your $30 art experience payment can be used towards anything in the Art Across Borders shop (custom Christmas ornaments, anyone?)
What if I do not celebrate Christmas but I really want to be part of this experience?
We would never want to exclude anyone! Reach out to me and we can figure this out. We definitely have options here 🙂
What if I have to use the bathroom during the session?
There will NOT be a bathroom available to use during this experience so please make sure you plan accordingly.
What if I am late to my session?
You still only have your 15 minute time slot. Due to the quick-paced nature of the day, I cannot accommodate schedule changes. Please be early rather than late!
What happens after I book?
Once you have chosen your session time and paid me your deposit/art experience fee (optional!), I will email you a contract and questionnaire so that we can communicate about your family dynamic and your “must have” shots for the session.
How do I pay?
You can pay by Venmo (@Kristine-Esposito), cash or check (written out to Kristine Esposito). All deposit money (for session and art experience) can be paid to Kristine.
