This was a sweet session with my cousins. I was actually supposed to do a newborn session for this family when the baby(!) was born in February but it was scheduled for right around the time when quarantine hit. I was so happy that we were finally able to make it happen! My cousin is a firefighter so his wife and kids moved in with her parents when covid hit, on their pediatrician’s recommendation, since he would be exposed to the virus. Now they are back in their routines and the “baby” is almost 8 months old!
The crazy thing is that this was my first time meeting him in person. We have all been so careful and the time has just flown. Let me tell you, he is such a happy kid. He was constantly smiling and his big sister absolutely loved giving him hugs and kisses. When I asked my cousin to pick both kids up, his daughter just kept kissing her brother and squeezing him and it was as if my cousin wasn’t even there. He said, “It’s ok, you can just photoshop me out,” haha.
As with pretty much all 2 year olds, there were lots of bribes to get her to pay attention to the camera but big sister has the best smile and it was alllll worth it. The weather had looked iffy that day, but the sun popped out, the kids were happy and it all seemed very “meant to be!”
