I got to know this beautiful mama and her kids when she signed up for my boho Mother’s Day minis so I was SO excited to do a fall family session for them. As we were walking to the location together, we got onto the topic of how her son loves bugs and they even have a fat caterpillar currently living in their yard that he loves. About one minutes later, I saw a big fuzzy one right on the ground! What are the chances? The little boy picked it up and we took some pictures with it. But then… we noticed some weird goop coming out of it. I don’t know if it was pee or what but, woops. Anyway, always starting sessions off with a bang around here haha.
This session was filled with so much love, laughter and silliness. We did a lot of running around (hopefully the kids slept well that night!) and tickling. One of my favorite moments was when I was having the kids take pictures with their dad. First, the little girl ran into his arms and he picked her up and spun her around. Of course, her brother wanted to get in on the action. After he did it once, I told him that this time, his dad was going to run into HIS arms and he would have to do the picking up and spinning around. Let’s just say that this led to a very funny sequence of photos and I can’t help but laugh every time I scroll through them.
My other favorite moment was right at the beginning. As I was getting out of my car to meet up with this family, the little girl gave me a drawing that she had made for me. My heart melted! I told her I would put it right on my fridge as soon as I got home (and I did). What a way to start a session 🙂
