40th Wedding Anniversary Session

Morris County Family Photographer

I have worked with my client for two years now and when she reached out this year asking about a session for her parents’ anniversary, I was hooked. She and her sisters wanted to give this as a surprise gift to her parents. And the kicker was— they also requested that we do the session in Verona Park, which is where her parents took their wedding photos. (Normally, I would avoid Verona Park since it is such a photographer hotspot, but I did agree this time!) There were a few photos they even wanted to try and recreate if possible.

When the forecast showed rain for the day of the session, we were frantically trying to figure out what to do, and decided to move the session up to early afternoon. It ended up being a blessing in disguise because we were able to take most of our photos right by the iconic white bridge— and I am sure we would not have been able to do that if we were taking pictures during golden hour on a weekend!

The grandparents were ADORABLE together and it was so fun recreating some of their wedding photos (and also just making them do typical couple poses!). They were so sweet together and seemed so happy, surrounded by the family that their love created. The session was filled with laughter, especially as their three daughters were constantly reminding them of funny stories and cracking jokes. This seems like a fun family to spend the holidays with!
